The Melzi Ardentissimo use ATMEGA644P Complete features Controller board (ATMEGA1284P is test) ,for the Sanguinololu chip. This is a Sanguinololu compatible boards firmware , although there are some features that are not in Sanguinololu–that extra Mosfet fan, and a software-controlled LED. Melzi also simultaneously have a Mirco SD compatible version. A complete StepStick clones, at the same time rejected the need for external stepper motor driver.
